Position Summary: Legacy Air

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Warranty Technician to join our team at Legacy Air. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and validating warranty claims on residential and commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lead warranty-related investigations and documentation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Warranty Diagnostics & Repairs:
    Investigate and resolve HVAC system issues covered under warranty, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Accurately document service findings, repairs, and warranty claim details. Submit reports to manufacturers and internal teams.

  • Customer Interaction:
    Communicate effectively with customers regarding warranty coverage, repair timelines, and system performance.

  • Technical Leadership:
    Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians on warranty procedures and technical troubleshooting.

  • Compliance & Safety:
    Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.

  • Preventative Maintenance:
    Perform inspections and maintenance to prevent future warranty claims and improve system reliability.

  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with service coordinators, manufacturers, and internal departments to streamline warranty processes.


Qualifications:

  • EPA 608 Certification required
  • Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience, with at least 2 years in warranty or service technician roles
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and diagnostics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
